Dissotrocha macrostyla var. tuberculata Ehrenberg 1838
Dissotrocha macrostyla var. tuberculata, pregnant female. The species of the genus Dissotrocha are viviparous. The trophi of the daughter are marked by an arrow, the trophi of the mother by an arrowhead. Also visible is the conspicuous dorsal antenna (DA). (1)
 
Dissotrocha macrostyla var. tuberculata, pregnant female. The integument of some specimens wears rod-like excretions which can aggregate into solid plates, especially on the dorsal side of the trunk. The plates are marked with arrowheads. (1)
